PRO on HCPS: Could This Become A "Mess Up and Move Up" Action or "Put The Parents in Their Place" Mission:
...... "My own humble opinion ..............or she was sent to the school to disenfranchise the parents."
I have been reading a few of the many public comments being made over on the Alafia Elementary Blog.
If one believes the history that is reported prior to the current situation, perhaps the above sentence may have more truth to it than I originally suspected.

Regarding the teachers, the district has been able to take a very committed, talented group and spread their value throughout the district by disbanding them. Clever.
Regarding the parents, what you have surmised may very well be true. I wonder how Smith will reconcile her new mentor Ippolito's desire for parent collaboration with her own disdain for any outside interference.
